You want to make holidays in Crete?

Then visit us in our "Villa Sandi"!

We are living in the small village of Kamilari, in South Crete, the biggest and most southern island of Greece. Here, you will live the real village life, with the typically Greek "Kafenion", and village festivities. Kamilari also offers small taverns, coffee shops, minimarkets with fresh bred, vegetables and fruits, as well as a butcher.

The nearest beach of Kalamaki is only 2 km far. Here, you can enjoy the original cretan food in the small, nice taverns, before going on the beach to relax (sunbeds and umbrellas are for free). A short walk in the sand will lead you to the beach of Komos. This is an excellent place to swim; and, with a little bit chance, by the end of summer, you might see the well-known "Caretta" sea-turtles hatch.

The village of Matala is just about 8 km from Kamilari. There, you can visit the well-known hippies caves, do some shopping in the small bazaar, and enjoy the taverns. The village of Pitsidia, located just before Matala, offers possibilities for horse rides. The excavations of Festos and Gortys are just 10 minutes drive from us. (You can also go there with the public buses.)
